Keratoconus is an eye condition in which the clear dome shape front of your eye (cornea) , gets thinner and bulges out like a cone. This shape change of the eye makes light rays become out of focus when then distorts your vision.

What are the symptoms?

  • Blurred vision
  • Eye redness
  • Increased light sensitivity
  • Frequent changes in eyeglass prescriptions
  • Cannot wear contact lenses

What can be done?

One treatment that we offer is scleral lenses. Scleral lenses are hard custom, large diameter rigid gas permeable contact lenses that are larger than your cornea. They rest on the whites of your eyes and allow oxygen to reach your cornea which help give you better vision.
