What is Glaucoma?

Glaucoma is an eye disease that can cause vision loss and blindness by damaging the optic nerve. 

Here are the different types of glaucoma and their symptoms:

Acute angle-closure

• Headaches
• Eye pain
• Blurred vision
• Halos around light
• Nausea
• Eye redness

Open-angle

• It begins with blind spots in your side vision then later progresses to difficulty seeing in your central vision
  

Pigmentary

• Halos around light
• Loss of side vision
• Blurred vision with exercise

Normal-tension

• It begins with blurred vision and then progresses to loss of side vision

Glaucoma in children

• Cloudy eye
• Increased blinking
• Blurred vision
• Headache
• Tears
